+ Position Overview

The MxD Workforce Program Manager will oversee the execution of workforce projects. The Manager will be responsible for helping to develop and manage specific workforce development initiatives for the MxD workforce program. The Manager will seek out, develop and draft grant proposals and manage the proposal process, as well as work directly with MxD partners and staff to drive collaboration opportunities. The Program Manager will also support MxD communication functions by writing articles, presentation, stories, and announcements that promote the work of the workforce program.

Strong written and verbal communication skills as well as exceptional organizational skills are required for this position.

+ Key Responsibilities

  • Support the end-to-end execution of MxD workforce initiatives in collaboration with the MxD workforce director
  • Seek out grant opportunities and draft and develop proposals
  • Coordinate with internal stakeholders to develop and/or communicate programming
  • Create informational documents to promote MxD workforce programming
  • Collaborate with the MxD teams to research and identify strategic workforce partners from membership base
  • Support communication functions by writing or ghostwriting announcements, articles, feature stories, and such materials for internal or external media and editing materials written by others
  • Assist in preparation of communications by editing content for clarity, tone, and relevance to employee groups. Identify content gaps and seek out additional detail as needed to deliver comprehensive messages
  • Research impactful opportunities for MxD speaking engagements to further develop and advertise the brand

+ Position Requirements

  • Four-year college degree
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; experience with grant writing
  • Ability to interact with key clients and drive collaborative brainstorming
  • Well-organized with the ability to coordinate multiple programs in various stages of the planning and execution process simultaneously; extremely detail-oriented; professional demeanor
  • Ability to remain calm under pressure, manage competing priorities, and use good judgement when resolving issues
  • Proficiency in MS Office suite
